This manual includes required policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements as well as additional policies to assist a home health or hospice organization in their everyday operation. Includes policies for HIPAA, Exposure Control and Compliance with the OIG recommendations. The manual is divided into: Administration, Finance, Human Resources, Patient Care, Quality, Infection/ Exposure Control, and Safety. Customized manuals include state specific regulations that exceed Federal CoPs.

Subscription Service
- 2 Annual Hours of Consulting – Use this PRN service throughout the year. Consulting Hours may be used at any time after purchase and expire at end of each Subscription Year ($500 value)
- 2 Annual Hours of Education – State Survey Readiness/Regulatory Update, Quality/Compliance Topic ($500 value)
- Access to the MAC Legacy Inside Wire which contains monthly hot topics that will provide you with clarification/simplification of regulatory changes, industry insight, and other relevant topics.
- In addition to policies and procedures, forms and compliance tools will be updated as regulations change (forms and compliance tools are not included with initial Policy and Procedure Manual).
***Updates to Policy and Procedure contained in subscription service meet regulatory guidance specific to the category ordered. State-specific policies (when available) will continue to be compliant with both the specific state and federal regulations. Federal policies will contain only federal regulatory guidance. Updates will go out as regulatory changes are released.
***Customization does not include logos, agency name, etc. Policies are delivered in an electronic format for further agency customization.

Frequently Asked Questions
What can the included consulting hours be used for? The two annual consulting hours may be used for questions related to the manual, regulatory interpretation, policy implementation, survey preparation, operational compliance, and other home health or hospice compliance topics.
Are mock surveys or audit services included? No. Mock surveys, audit services, and other consulting projects are available separately and are not included with the Policy & Procedure Manual purchase.
Do the consulting hours include appeal or denial support? The consulting hours may be used for general compliance and regulatory questions. Detailed denial management, ADR support, appeals, claims review, and project-based assistance are separate services.
Does the manual include coding guidance or coding services? The manual includes policies related to clinical and operational processes but does not include coding services, coding audits, OASIS reviews, or reimbursement reviews. These services are available separately through MAC Legacy.
What do the education hours include? The two annual education hours may be used for regulatory updates, survey readiness education, compliance topics, quality initiatives, and other home health or hospice educational sessions.
What customization is included? State-specific versions include applicable state regulatory requirements when available. Manuals are provided electronically and can be customized by the agency after delivery. Agency-specific information such as logos, branding, forms, job titles, workflows, and operational preferences are not pre-loaded.
What is included with the Subscription Service? The Subscription Service includes policy updates, compliance tool updates as regulations change, access to the Inside Wire newsletter, two consulting hours, and two education hours during each subscription year.
